Dalimfort Tourist Lodge Claimed

It stands on the foothills of the river which the name comes after the famous historical name Dalim Fort (popularly known as Dalim Gari) which is situated just 6 km away from Sombarey Bazaar Gorubathan above from Ambiok T.E after walking of 40 minutes upward can reach to the Fort. The location of the fort is in such a position that strangers may really get confused to reach it. Built by Lepchas Last King Pano Gaeboo Achyok in the 17th century after it was captured by Bhutanese and after the British destroyed it to drove out the Bhutanese from this region. The landforms of the fort is plateau type up in the hills. Strategically, even today we can move our eyeballs downhill to the beautiful green scenery of Ambiok Tea Estate and the flowing of River Chel towards the vast plains of Jalpaiguri District and the green hills of Nim, Fagu and Pokhreangbong Forest.
